Bjelasica is one of the most beautiful mountain of Montenegro. The "pearl"of the mountain is Biogradska lake where the rivers blend together. Bjelasica has easy accessibility, a great wealth of forests, and rivers. There are the green summers and white winters. The top of Bjelasica, the "Black Head" is 2139 meters high Bjelasica is the second well known ski resort in Montenegro, 9 km away from Kolasin. There are excellent opportunities for skiing on slopes of Bjelasica. Snow cover the Mountain in the winter season from 1 to 3 m, so trails are good for skiing from December till April. Total length of the trails is 15 km. Length of the main trail Jezerine is 4.5 km.
There are large chair lift and three bar lifts. Night skiing is available also. The trails are 9 km away from Kolasin. There are two skiing clubs in the town – "Bjelasica" and "Trebaljevo". Annual traditional skiing competition "Golden Fox" takes place on Bjelasica. The snowboard competition takes place as a part of February winter festival.
The resort has twenty four ski runs of varying levels from beginner to advanced and served by four ski lifts. Kolasin has a ski school and equipment hire and also has snowmobiling activities. Hotels and restaurants ensure skiers can enjoy the very best of Montenegrin hospitality.
