Activities in Montenegro, boost up your adrenaline and relax in the same time

You like an active holiday? You love sailing and diving, and prefer cycling to site-seeing tours? You love climbing mountains and reaching their peaks and you are no stranger to casting off from those peaks on the wings of a paraglider? In that case, Montenegro is the place for you.

With such a focus on its physical environment it's only natural that Montenegro has plenty of active pursuits on offer. Along the coast there's the usual selection of water sports, including swimming, kayaking, fishing and diving. Inland, the iconic attraction is rafting on the Tara River but there are also hundreds of kilometers of mountain-biking and hiking tracks to explore. Skiing is the big winter attraction.

If you like pedaling up and down beautiful hills in the fresh air, Montenegro is your place. There are a network of marked routes, from a single day’s cycling routes to the mother of all mountain tracks, the 14-day, Tour de Montenegro that circles the entire country Much of the countryside provides magnificent opportunities for walking and trekking, with trails varying from easy to challenging. In particular, on the Durmitor massif numerous peaks over 2200 m are accessible without the use of special equipment, with general marked paths A considerable portion of the mountaineering transversal, CT-1, runs through the Biogradska Gora National Park. A total of 120 km in length, it begins in Verusa and continues through Komovi, skirting the slopes of Kljuc past Raskrsnica to Biogradska Lake and finally Zabljak.

Scooba Diving

Fishing is popular on Montenegrin Lakes and on the Adriatic Sea. Fishing licenses must be obtained in advance.
The best-known shooting grounds are at mountain and continental region of Montenegro. Hunting is allowed, with permit, seasonally for bears and  wild boar, and without one, for wolves, foxes and rabbits.
Skiing is centered on the Durmitor and Bjelasica mountains and the resorts of Zabljak and Kolasin.
Facilities are still in a fairly early stage of development but there is usually at least foru months of decent snow and prices compare very favorably with most other countries in Europe or North America
Diving tourism in Montenegro has been increasing in popularity. Undoubtedly the most attractive diving locations in the Adriatic are underwater cliff faces and reefs and caves.
